There are so many books and sooooo little time to read them. Around 130 million books have been published in the history of humanity. I am a big lover of books, especially self-development books. In fact, it is in books that I've found the inspiration and some of the courage I needed to pursue my dreams, work on my "invisible dragons" (my fears) and simply (to-not-quote-Nike) just do it!
As books have a special place in my heart, it was obvious and a must for me to have a landing library at WOMADE ! In fact, at WOMADE you'll find a library (available for members to rent and enjoy) filled with inspiring books about entrepreneurship, women, feminism, self-development, self-care/love,...
That's why today I'm sharing a list of 5 books that have helped me during my entrepreneurial journey.
1. " Everything is figureoutable" by Marie Forleo

While most self-help books offer quick fixes, Everything is Figureoutable will retrain your brain to think more creatively and positively in the face of setbacks. In the words of Cheryl Strayed, it's "a must-read for anyone who wants to face their fears, fulfill their dreams, and find a better way forward...
2. " Big Magic " by Elizabeth Gilbert

Readers of all ages and walks of life have drawn inspiration and empowerment from Elizabeth Gilbert’s books for years. Now this beloved author digs deep into her own generative process to share her wisdom and unique perspective about creativity. With profound empathy and radiant generosity, she offers potent insights into the mysterious nature of inspiration...
3. " The One Thing " by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan

Our attention is monopolized by more and more distractions and solicited by unforeseen events all the time. Yet everything requires concentration, our day is not expandable and sometimes we feel like we are walking on the spot trying to do everything at once. The ONE Thing, the method of the pros, has helped millions of people around the world to focus on the essentials for an outstanding efficiency and a lucidity that allows to better enjoy life.
4. " You're a badass " by Jen Sincero

Practical, funny, implementable advice and stories that will help you understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can't change, how to change what you don't love, and how to be a badass all the time.
5. " Daring greatly " by Brené Brown

Every time we are introduced to someone new, try to be creative, or start a difficult conversation, we take a risk. We feel exposed.
Most of us try to fight those feelings, we strive to appear perfect. In this book, the author challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability, and dispels the accepted myth that it's a weakness.
